Ariela's house is filled with influences from nature.  Her love of natural materials is echoed over and over with the thoughtfully arranged collections of found objects and clusters of potted succulents.  The house has a counry cottage feel to it, with lightweight  gauzy window treatments and lots of natural light.  Lush planting from a well established garden can be viewed from each window.  Ariela is careful not to over clutter her space and chooses to have an edited selection of items on display.  The living room features a playful, almost Hollywood Regency style corner, repleat with a vintage peacock chair and assertive marquee 'A' hung above it which eludes to her tongue in cheek sense of humor.

What would be the biggest change you would make if you owned the home?

I would get rid of the carpet and expose the beautiful hardwood floors that I am certain are hiding under there.

If the house was on fire, what would you save first?

I searched far and wide for the perfect vintage peacock chair. One day Suna and Dana were at the flea market and texted me that they found my chair. It came with a side table AND a tropical cushion all for $15. My duvet is also a gem. I suffer from mild to moderate FOMO every time I leave my bed in the morning.

What is your favorite place in your home?

I love sitting on the sofa in the living room as the afternoon light floods in.

What's your next project?

My endless list currently consists of getting a nice hammock for the yard, wallpapering the inside of my living room bookshelves in a tropical print, adding on to my indoor cacti garden, and getting nice curtains for the dining room.
