We are so in awe and inspired by these gorgeous glass and cement sculptures by Australian based artist Ben Young. Each piece is painstakingly measured so that each layer of glass to fit precisely within the contours of the concrete. Handmade brass sculptures are then carefully placed to finish off the sculpture with almost playfully realistic detail.  They feel topographical and boardeline educational in some ways - it's the addition of the human elements in brass which adds enough whimsy to make them mantle piece worthy.

Your work is breathtaking!

Tell me, what comes first? The chicken or the egg?

Do you fabricate the cement first or the glass? My money is on the glass.

Oh, what do I know!

Beautiful work!!!!!!!!
